・シニアのメジャー「全英シニアオープン」があり、
・かと思ったら、北米ではカナダのメジャー（？）「RBCカナディアンオープン」
・日本ではハニカミ坊主が出場する「長嶋茂雄 INVITATIONAL セガサミーカップゴルフトーナメント」（長い！「長さんカップ」でいいよ）
・女子は「カゴメ フィランソロピーLPGAプレイヤーズチャンピオンシップ」（これも長いょ！「カゴメ」でいいよ）
が開催される。大会名書くだけで疲れるってば...頭は一つでいいから、手が6本くらい欲しい。あ、あと一つ大事な大会を忘れてた。

欧州、米国の女子LPGAツアーの共同開催で、全米女子オープンに匹敵する賞金総額ということもあり準メジャーとして位置づけられている。来週の「全英リコー女子オープン」の前哨戦として、フランスとスイスの国境に位置する高地Evian-les-Bains（フランス語が苦手なもので読み方分かりません...）でまもなく開幕する。ご覧の通り、コースは高台に位置していて絶景を眺めながら世界のトップ90名が凌ぎを削ることになる。
そして、今年、この大会に特別な想いを持って挑む選手がいる。

今年限りでの引退を表明している元女王。通算72勝、既に殿堂入りが決まっている。1995年に初めてエビアンに出場した時、彼女は見事に優勝している。今年、転戦する各地でフェアウェルを言っている中、この大会にはどこか特別な思い出があるみたいだ。
1995年当時、まだ全く認知されていなかったエビアンマスターズ。「（コース内に）ロープも張られていなければ、観客も2名くらいしかいなかった」と振り返る。
「全てが美しい。いつもここの大会は親や家族を呼ぶようにしてる。他の大会と比べると、リラックスした雰囲気なの。だから、他のどの大会よりもここに来られなくなるのは寂しいわ」とアニカ。
大会運営側もアニカの最後の出場を記念して、何かサプライズを用意しているようだ。まだ具体的には決まっていないが、コース上に「Annika's Place（アニカの場所）」というスポットを設けるようだ。
この大会、去年は人気選手ナタリー・ガルビスが逆転優勝し、今年は連覇をかけて出場してくる。日本からも宮里藍、上田桃子、ポーラ・クリーマー、ロレーナ・オチョアらもエントリーしている。アニカを送り出す大会には相応しい面子だろう。
フランス語で「Bon Voyage」という言葉がある（少しくらいはフランス語わかります...）。直訳すると「良い旅を」。来週の「全英リコー女子オープン」では再びアニカへの惜しみない拍手が送られることだろう。
彼女自身が最も思い入れの強い大会でも最高の結果を残して旅立ってほしい。大ギャラリーの歓声を背に、優勝杯を手にして涙するアニカの姿。。。これまでに多くのドラマを演じてきた彼女だけに、そういうフェアウェルシーンを勝手に想像してしまう。
