ただゴルフって本当に分からないですね。だって前者の４名、仲良く予選落ちしちゃうんですから。

ビジェガスが1オーバーで予選通過に1打足らず、キムとホームズは4オーバー、ミケルソンにいたっては7オーバー121位タイ。期待されていただけに、なんともみっともない結果だった。
優勝候補がバタバタと倒れていく中、最後まで辛抱強く粘ったのが48歳のベテラン、ケニー・ペリー。後者の中の一人だ。昨年3勝し、ライダーカップでアメリカチームを引っ張ったペリーも前者に入れるべきだったのかもしれませんね。
最後はチャーリー・ホフマンとのプレーオフにもつれ、3ホール目で勝負あり。

このホフマンという選手、日本ではあまり馴染みありませんが、今年やってくれそうな気がします。今季わずか2戦で共にトップ20位（ボブ・ホープ・クラシックで19位タイ）に入っていて、FedEx Cupポイントランキングも6位。新婚ほやほやで精神的にも余裕が出てきたのかな...。今後も要チェックかもしれません。
