それにしても石川遼の注目度はすごいことになってますね。アメリカのUSA TODAY、イギリスのGuardianなど、各国の有力紙が石川を紹介する記事を組んでいます。ツアー（メジャー）を何年も追いかけている人たちからすると、突如現われた17歳（とその取り巻きの多さ）に若干戸惑っているようですが・・・。

やるじゃない・・・。スピードラーニングの成果が出てるんですかね？？でも英語で受け答えする練習（姿勢）は大事だと思います。先日、パドレイグ・ハリントンとアンヘル・カブレラ（ともにメジャーチャンピオン）が共同記者会見したそうですが、ハリントン（英語）には300名の記者が集まったが、通訳を介して話したカブレラには8名しか出席しなかったみたいですからね。海外で活躍したい志があるのであれば、若い頃から訓練しておくことは大切ですね。
ちょっと時間がないので、全部訳せませんが、とにかくタイガー・ウッズとプレーできることに感動していてベストを尽くす。そして、慣れない全英オープンという舞台でも天候に順応していきたい、とのことです。そして、スコットランドの「ハギス」という食べ物もお口に合ったようで、「とてもいい味です」と言っています（⇒こちらは後ほど紹介します）。
