全英オープン最終日、最終ホールでスチュワート・シンクがバーディパットを沈め2アンダーでホールアウト。最終ラウンドは何度もクラッチパットでピンチを凌ぎ、トム・ワトソンと並んで競技終了。
ただ、この時点でウェストウッドが17番でイーグルパットを残していて、ワトソンも17番（パー5）に入っているため果たして2アンダーでプレーオフに持ち込めるのか・・・。
